Become a Befriender
Are you someone who cares deeply about others and believes in the power of just listening?
As a Befriender, you will provide confidential, non-judgmental emotional support to individuals experiencing distress, loneliness or crisis. Sometimes, having someone who truly listens can make all the difference.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life, but they share a common purpose which is to offer a safe space for anyone who needs to be heard.
What You Will Do
1. Listen with empathy and without judgement.
2. Support individuals facing emotional challenges.
3. Provide a safe and confidential space for sharing.
4. Be a source of comfort during difficult moments.
Requirements
1. Compassionate and patient
2. A good listener who respects confidentiality
3. Open to learning and supporting others
4. Above 24 years old
